The Story Behind the Remote Zone

Hello! I’m the voice behind The Remote Zone and I’ve been working remotely (and hybrid) for over 14 years, long before it was the norm.

In that time, I’ve worked from just about every kind of home setup you can imagine: a tiny desk tucked into a bedroom corner, a “temporary” dining table situation that lasted way too long, and even a converted family room that I now share with my equally remote-working spouse. I know firsthand that real homes don’t always come with perfect office space—and that’s exactly why this site exists.

As a digital marketing professional, I’ve spent my career thinking about design, usability, and how people actually interact with the spaces and tools around them. I keep up with trends, but I’m not interested in fads. I’m interested in solutions that work.
